As far as holidays go, we toggle between really well planned and totally last minute. The latter usually happens when D has a business trip and I do the tag-along.
This year, however, with school work and all, my travel wings are a little tied up. Which is okay because I love spending time at home.
The husband has been cray cray busy at work. To add to his portfolio, he's opened a new casual eatery, with our good friend. Some days, it's impossible to get hold of the man. Needless to say, we had no definite plans for our annual summer vacay.
So when the June holidays approach, I told him, we need to go somewhere for a bit with the kids. We tossed a few ideas in the air and in the end, it was between San Francisco or Europe.
Because he likes to explore new places, Europe won!!
What can I say? We had the best time. This really ranks as the most relaxing holiday we have had so far. From the busy city of London, to the warmth and to die for views of Mykonos and Santorini and lastly, good old ancient Rome.
I really love traveling with my kids at this stage of their lives. Their curiosity, love for new people and all things water sports, and just generally being really well behaved for their parents.
I couldn't give thanks for more.
Till the next one!
