Sunday Times

We had a brilliant Sunday.

Bright and early this morning, I woke the troops up and hurried them to wash up so that we could do a walk down at the Reservoir.

It has been such a long time since I last visited MacRitchie and though I drive past it often, it has never occured to me to stop by for a visit.

The six year old has been a lil sooky about trying out new activities lately so I thought this would be a good way to get him out of his comfort zone and, also, exercise a little.

I won't lie.

It was a hot and humid day. Seriously, what's with the heatwave, man?

He was mostly grouchy and very whingey as we trekked along.

But the complaints started to dwindle and we got deeper into the walk.

By the time we were done, we were famished. And it was off to brunch at Jules. Hmmm.....

After that, we went to run some errands before heading home to soak in the pool.

Sweet sweet way to cool down. Kids were extremely happy to splash around in the water.

They were spent by the time we were done so we left them home to play and rest a little whilst we went to the pub for the RWC's semis where the All Blacks were up against the Wallabies.

A few friends joined us and it was an excellent match. (well, much better played than the WalesVSFrance match).

Man! It felt like we were having a typical Melbourne weekend.

I miss this, actually. It's been a while since our weekends were this relaxed.
