Hong Kong Disneyland Part 1

Hong Kong. Not a place I associate with kids.

So I was absolutely caught off guard when the boy suggested that he would like to go to HK Disneyland for a holiday. Seemingly, some of his friends have been and it is on the highly recommended places to visit.

So D and I had a discussion and we thought 'Why not?'

Plus, it would be a fab birthday treat for the boy since we were not throwing him a birthday party this year.

So off we went.

And it turned out to be pretty fun for all three kids. (Nothing beats Disneyland, I guess!)

We rested on the first day that we were there. So the kids can get all geared up for their trip to the happiest place on Earth.

On Board the Disney Express

And then Day Two, here we are...

Here we goooo, people!
I have to say that HK Disneyland is great for kids of this age range. The park is of a good size for them to explore with plenty of amenties everywhere for easy access and minimal queues. And event though we were there on both Friday and Saturday, the queue for rides and games were fast moving. I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the staff working there. They had a good system to ensure no queue jumping.

Entering the happiest place on earth.
First up, we got to meet Mickey and Minnie. Lil K was so excited that she was seeing the characters in real life. A lil bit of trepidation and fear as she came upclose to them. It took some cajoling to get her to smile for the camera.

M&M All decked out in Halloween costumes
There are three areas for the kids to check out 1. AdventureLand 2. FantasyLand 3. TomorrowLand, Kayden loved TomorrowLand. That's where Buzz Lightyear hangs out. The games were really good fun too. That was where my kids wanted to hang out.

The boys kept dashing into the Space Cadet game which was really exciting. Shooting = Fun!

Look, Ma! I got the whole world in my hands.

We also got on the train that goes around the park. It's so old school. And it's a pretty quick ride so definitely go on that when you head there.
The kids were a lil tired so we headed back to the hotel to rest a lil.
Next up. Halloween...

  1. Soooooo adorable!! They look like they had fun!! ;) I still remember my first trip to see Mickey ever!! Best day of my life!!

  2. They did have fun! A lil too much that everyone was a lil sick after we left HK. =)

K was half petrified and half excited to see Mickey.
