Back Home Now

We are baaaaaaaaccccck from Europe.

Twelve days of lugging our luggage and stuff all over Dubai, Paris and Rome, we are pretty glad that our thushes are back firmly on home ground. Ohh the comforts of a car, at your convenience! And of course, it's always good to come back to our two very cheeky and adorable kids, whom we missed for a good two weeks.

4 years of raising kids and dealing with the hustle and bustle of work meant that Europe was a good opportunity for us to re-group and spend some extended time as a couple. =)

We thoroughly had a lot fun exploring Paris with friends. Walking through the ancient ruins in Rome. Staring in awe at the opulence and beauty of the Vatican. And rushing through the bare dryness of Dubai.

I loved spending time with Hubbi. We would get up in the morning and go for a slow brekkie followed by exploring different museums or place together. Followed by a short lunch and then doing some shopping. By the time dusk arrives, we are all knackered out from all the activities of the day.

We walked a lot in Paris and Rome. Thank goodness the transport network is well supported in both cities. It wasn't difficult to navigate our way around. Plus, it helps that we've done a fair bit of traveling together so we're used to each other's traveling style.

At the end of the trip, we had completely grossed each other out with our lame jokes and mad antics. Ha! More importantly we relished the time that we spent just in the company of the other.

Paris does have its own way of making people fall a lil bit deeper in love. (Not that we needed any help producing any more kids.)

Now I wonder when we will have the opportunity to steal time away again... maybe a shorter trip next year. =p
