The Last Day of 2007

We spent the last day of this year doing things that matter.

We had brekkie @ Albert Park Deli with our friends who were returning to Sydney in the arvo. The food was so delicious that I was wondering why we always walked past this place but never ever thought of dining there?!

It was a good time catching up. And before we knew it, it was time to bid adieu. A few hugs and they were on their way.

Then I brought the kids to Eltham to meet my aunt who was visiting from SG. She's been here for a week or so with my cousin and uncle but since we had D visiting us from Sydney, I didn't get a chance to see her.

I got Darien to look up the directions for me cos I knew that reading a map whilst driving is probably not going to be the best plan. So we went through the melway together and he went, " If you can get there in one piece, you are truly magnificent."

Now he doesn't usually say that cos my sense of direction is rather acute.

So anyhooz I packed the kids in the car and off we went. It was a long drive and man was it hot today. (42 Degrees?!)

Bu I was glad we made it there. (I got a lil lost somewhere towards the end.) The boys had a ball playing with everyone there while I caught up with my aunt and her relos. In fact, those lil ones got to play with toys from yesteryears. It was very very cool. :p

I left when they were about to head to the airport.

And then I thought to myself... in this time and age, friends that you truly treasure and family that you love and care for are so rare, and yet we are terribly spoilt in those areas. We must not take it for granted.

So 2008 will be a time for us to rediscover the family side of things. And I pray for the Lord to hold my hands through this. :)
