Weekends are a lot more precious these days. It seems like work has helped changed my view on time.

These days I hang out more with the boys. Rather than getting engrossed in chores or other matters, I just play with the kiddos. I watch them interact. I see how they tease each other and then we share kisses and cuddles.

It has been busy juggling it all. But I guess being a SAHM is not my cuppa tea. I like doing it part time and I like my time away as well. It gives me time to breathe and appreciate the time I have just being by myself.

I rode to work with a girlfriend today and she reminded me how blessed my life is. With a husband who spoils me and two healthy boys. Everything is going really well at the moment.

All these make turning a year older a lot easier.

Target Toy Sale

This happens once a year. It's huge and most things are slashed by a decent percentage.

So I take the advantage of pre-buying all the gifts, meant for all occasions, for the two lil buggers.

After running between two stores and fighting the crowds, I ended up with the things that I set out to buy.

Let's just say that I am mightily pleased with my selections and those two fellas are gonna be so excited when their birthdays and Christmas hit.

The toys are really cool. I wish I had them when I was young.

I would've bought more but the hubbi went, "Go easy on the money, babe."

These Days

Lately, time has been passing so quickly. We have had heaps of changes in our lives just in the past fortnight. Between work, daycare, dinners and kids... life's never been busier.

The boys are growing up way too fast and even I am having trouble keeping up with them.

Also, the weather's been really shocking. Heaps of pouring rain bring about cold misery. Not good.

We now have a nanny to look after the kids for a few days a week. And so far things are working out.

Work's just starting to get busier too but I am loving my time away from the children. I work harder now cos I dun have time to muck around with just four days a week.

Other than that, I am just so damn exhaused right now, that it's not funny.

Ze House Hunt

Ya know what's really interesting...

Every time I see a house that I like, the hubbi would be interstate. And then someone comes along and then snaps it up and then the search starts all over again.

This has gotta stop happening... cos I think we are running outta time.

Back to Work

I went back to my work place this arvo. Not before dropping the kiddos in daycare and having lunch with a galfriend.

So stepping back was a lil interesting. I was quite worried that it would be a sea of new faces but to my relief, most of my old working pals are still there. Most got promoted and some still remain in the same position.

Best of all, we are now all located on the same floor. One of my good buddies just became a daddy to a baby girl. How wonderful is that.

I got to meet my new manager, who's really lovely, and after discussing the options, I am extremely psyched about the position that I would be taking on. And I am back to work next week! Tres exciting.

I just wish that the hubbi was here with me so that I can blab all the details to him but he's up in Sydney for the week. And so it's me and the bubbas for the next couple of days. We talk several times during the day but he's usually beat at the end of the day. So I usually cut him some slack when he's away. [maybe i shld just guilt trip him into buying a miu miu for my birthday.)

Baby J started his first official day in daycare and he did relatively well... although he did cry a lil during the day but according to the gals he's quite settled in the arvo.

I'm just going to enjoy working for the next few months till our move back home. And then another chapter of my life would begin. Hopefully by then, I'll be able to find another job that I love.

Knock Knock

Hi Guys...

I realised that a couple of friends are reading this blog.

And I just wanna know who's been visiting.

Email me to let me know that you've been here. Cos I dun wanna repeat the same story to you if you've actually read it from here. *wink*

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Our major decision factors

It seems like the move back home is rather imminent.

While we have been stalling the idea for a couple of years now, it just feels like now's probably the right time to finally get things going.

A lot of thoughts and discussions have been made in regards to the Big Move but like what the Chinese say, "You follow who you marry"

And those words cannot be more true, more so now than ever before.

I guess my husband has his responsibilities to carry out. And much as I love my current life, I don't deny that this reality would have to be addressed at some stage in our lives. We can either choose to delay it once more or just go back and allow him to pick up the ropes of the trade.

We've always work as a team when it comes to life choices and we've decided that home would be the best place for the boys, at this moment. We would like them to have a close relationship with their grandparents and our external families. And also, we would like them to learn Mandarin as well.

In a move like this, logistics and planning are crucial. So we've started to research on preschools for the boys. Also, we've started to look for a place to stay. Not forgetting transportation.

In this next couple of months, the husband would have to complete some of his courses here. I am looking forward to going back to work, for a bit. And then hopefully we can finally settle on a house here. Then it's time to pack up and go.

Life would be better back home. We'll have family and a lot more friends around us. I look forward to seeing my parents, my siblings and my aunties.

No doubt I would miss my shopping here but the husband has promised weekend treats for us when we move back. And perhaps Europe, if we can afford the time.
That I can't wait! Till then...
